Lagrange College Site

We are planning to go to this upcoming event & I will also post some history of the old Lagrange college site..there’s an old cemetery up there that we as teens would visit late nights to see if we could catch a glimpse of a spirit..it’s another creepy place to say the least..

HAUNTED HAYRIDES AT THE LAGRANGE COLLEGE SITE PARK 1491 LAGRANGE COLLEGE ROAD, NEAR WHITE OAK IN EAST  COLBERT COUNTY ALABAMA, LEIGHTON, ALABAMA SCHEDULED FOR EVERY SATURDAY IN OCTOBER BEGINNING AT 7PM.  $5.00 ADULTS AND CHILDREN UNDER 6 FREE.  PARKING AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN AT THE OLD TABERNACLE SITE, YOU MAY WANT TO BRING YOUR FLASH LIGHT TO SEE HOW TO GET BACK TO YOUR CAR.  THE SITE, KNOWN AS ONE OF THE SCAREST PLACES TO VISIT IN ALABAMA, DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU ACTUALLY SEE A "REAL" GHOST APPEARING FROM THE WOODS AND DISAPPEARING AS QUICKLY AS THEY APPEARED TO FOLKS RIDING ON THE HAYRIDE.  YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SCREAM BUT, REMAIN SEATED AS THE TRACTOR TAKES YOU ON AN ADVENTURE THAT WILL SCARE YOU TO DEATH, IF YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO ENDURE SUCH A RIDE INTO THE DARKNESS.  The event is sponsored by the LaGrange Living Historical Association and Alabama and Colbert County Tourism. Proceeds from the event benefit the operations of the historic College Site, forerunner of UNA.  Producers of the event are the Skipworths. 256-856-0927

This is an actual photo of the old college before it was burned to the ground during the civil war.
